Dear Club Presidents: Your District Board would like to support the efforts of a Zontian from District 8 to attend the 2010 Zonta International Convention in San Antonio! Accompanying this letter is an application for a $500, yes $500!, scholarship from our district for the convention. Applications from members within clubs with a membership of 25 or less will be considered for this particular scholarship. Watch for more scholarship opportunities from your District 8 Board in the very near future. We think the application is clear and concise. Please distribute to your club members as soon as possible. The application will also be available at www.zontadistrict8.org. Applications are due by March 1 and you know how time flies by these days. Most Zontians will tell you that attendance at a Zonta International Convention has many benefits, not the least of which is a stronger commitment to their Zonta community. Other benefits they've shared include better knowledge of and respect for our ZI service projects, appreciation and understanding of the governance process, and the creation of strong lifelong bonds with Zontians throughout the world.
