Hi I’m Ida Potatohead!

I started my Zonta journey in Snohomish, WA summer of 2009. I first traveled to Walla Walla, Wa to attend the District 8 conference Oct 1-4th. There I was given to Jocelyn Vogeley of the Tualatin Valley club who volunteered to send me on a journey across the district to visit all the clubs and eventually make my way to Pocatello, ID for the next District 8 conference in fall 2011.

My first journey was to China with Dawn Cutting of the Portland club. Nice huh? I had a great time and spent all my yen on a nice Chinese flower pin cushion! From there Dawn and I traveled to Anchorage to visit with the Anchorage club. My travel journal is filled with great wishes from the club members I met there. They then sent me back to Snohomish along with a really cool set of red mukluks that are just my size!

From Snohomish I traveled with Governor Elect Carol Dreysse to training in Chicago the first weekend in Feb 2010. Actually it was Oakbrook but close enough to call it Chicago! We had cold weather and a little snow but I enjoyed my time meeting other governor elects and having my picture taken with Zonta International President Elect Dianne Curtis!

After a couple of weeks of relaxation I was off again with Carol and her husband Brett for a trip to Coos Bay Oregon. I attended the Coos Bay Area club’s Celebrity dinner! I had a great time and even had some disco time on the dance floor! They are a rockin club!
