Hello,

I am so honored to be your Governor for this biennium and to be able to work with the other leaders of District 8.  Our theme is Touching Lives, Touching Hearts and with the goals we have set for the biennium, we will be touching many lives and hearts. The goals are attainable and important to move our district forward.

Membership –

8 by 08, increase the number of members in District 8 to 800 by May 31, 2008. Our current membership is 649.           

Implement a district wide mentor program to support, encourage, and retain members.

Communications

Improve our district website so that it is the resource of choice for district members.

Keep the membership informed and in touch with each other

Advocacy

Encourage clubs to be effective advocates of Zonta International issues/programs.

Service

Encourage clubs to support mission-focused service projects to improve women’s legal rights, health, education and economic status.

Giving

Increase our financial contributions to the Zonta International Foundation from clubs and individuals within the district.

As Zontians throughout the district share the joy of Zonta while working within our own clubs and with members of other clubs, we will be able to reach these goals, while Touching Lives, Touching Hearts.
